Katherine is 90 years old and resides in the Detroit area. At 15, she and her family were taken into a Nazi concentration camp. She was in several camps over two years, including Auschwitz. She moved with her family to the United States after the camps were liberated in 1945. For her, the key to life is in your attitude. "As you grow older, think positive. I think that’s the only thing I can tell you... Cause even in camp, I was always thinking positive. I always told my mom and sister, we will survive."
